We continue a series of articles on the performance of AMD and Intel processors. We focused on the maximum performance you can get on different systems by comparing overclocked processor models. In previous reviews, the overclocking features of each participant were analyzed and general tests were carried out to assess the computing potential in synthetic benchmarks and applied applications.
In this test, we will focus exclusively on gaming performance. Tested in two dozen gaming applications at maximum or high graphics quality in Full HD. Such a comparison will allow you to appreciate the real difference in the practical modes that are used by the players.
Processors will continue to be compared at higher frequencies, which will allow us to evaluate the maximum possible for each platform. Detailed information about settings and overclocking is described in the first two parts. Now, for clarity, we indicate only the technical characteristics and description of test configurations. The comparison took place in combination with a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. To stabilize its frequencies in the Boost mode, the fan speed was manually increased.

The processor is overclocked to 4.05 GHz. The 2x8GB DDR4 memory ran at 3333MHz with 14-16-16-28 latencies.
Ryzen 5 1600

The processor is overclocked to 3.925 GHz. The 2x8GB DDR4 memory ran at 3333MHz with 14-16-16-28 latencies.
Ryzen 5 1400

The processor ran at 4.025 GHz. The 2x8GB DDR4 memory ran at 3333MHz with 14-16-16-28 latencies.
Ryzen 3 1200

The processor was running at 4.05 GHz. The 2x8GB DDR4 memory ran at 3333MHz with 14-16-16-28 latencies.
Test bench for AM3+ processor
The test bench configuration was as follows:

FX-6100

The processor ran at 4.64 GHz. The 2×8 GB DDR3 memory ran at 2300 MHz with 9-11-11-11 latencies. It should also be noted that this is an old platform that ensures the operation of the video card in PCI Express 2.0 mode instead of PCI Express 3.0 on new AMD configurations.
