The subject of this review will be the Deepcool Matrexx 50 Mesh 4FS chassis, which belongs to the middle price segment of the market and has all the necessary qualities to build a full-size computer system. There is a claim to good ventilation due to the large number of pre-installed fans and relatively air-transparent panels. There is a decent supply of space for system components, a side glass for beauty and some backlighting, even if it is fixed with only three colors. Good for a start. And what opportunities the case actually has, we will describe in more detail in this article.

Packing and scope of delivery
The case is sold in a regular box without unnecessary printing and images. It has the name and specifications of the product printed in white, and a nice blue line around the perimeter. But more importantly, there are cut-out handles for easy portability, two styrofoam dampeners, and a plastic bag inside to protect against shipping damage.
The following parts are included with the case:
- assembly instructions;
- warranty leaflet with quality certificate;
- 11 plastic disposable cable ties;
- 22 screws for the motherboard and 2.5″ drives;
- four screws for the power supply;
- four motherboard racks;
- 11 screws for 3.5″ drives.
Appearance
From an equilateral black metal box Deepcool Matrexx 50 Mesh 4FS differs only in the design of the front panel. It is made in the form of a metal mesh with fine perforation and visually consists of three three-dimensional asymmetric elements, composed of faces in the form of irregular trapezoids. But in fact, the grille is one-piece and can be removed quite easily. All this is surrounded by a plastic frame.
External ports are built in along the right edge of the top panel. In order, there is a square power button (with integrated power and drive activity indicators), one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, two 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks in a row, and a small reset button.
The left side panel is completely made of tempered glass, in the spirit of modern fashion. It is held on by four thumbscrews screwed in at the corners.
The screws have rubber gaskets between metal and glass, both under the caps and around the seat. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about the safety of the holes in the panel.
Tempered glass has a thickness of 4 mm and is slightly tinted.
The right side panel is metal, smooth and solid. It has a stamped handle on the back for easy disassembly. It is held on by two metal thumbscrews fixed in their mounting holes. Takes off towards the back.
On the reverse side there are rounded stiffening ribs located along the front, top and bottom faces of the panel. The door is held in place quite tightly.
Most of the top panel is occupied by a ventilation grill, covered with a magnetic dust filter made of metal mesh. There is a faint “Deepcool” lettering on the front.
The lattice honeycombs are made in the form of medium-sized squares, which promises sufficient transparency for the air. On the sides of it there are several rows of paired mounting holes that allow you to attach two 120mm or 140mm fans.
The back panel is organized as standard. The ventilation grid with square honeycombs at the top allows the installation of a 120mm fan with subsequent height adjustment within 20mm. This is followed by seven ventilated PCI slots, of which only the top one is closed with a reusable plug, while all the rest are covered with disposable breakout plates. Opposite the slots, there is a removable decorative bar that hides the technological hole behind it. The seat of the power supply is located at the bottom and allows you to install the PSU as a fan in the up or down direction.
There are four legs on the base, a removable power supply mesh filter, four screws holding the drive basket inside, and a cutout for dismantling the front panel.
The height of the plastic legs is 22 mm. They have soft stickers on the bottom.
Let’s look at the internal structure of the case.
