Ukraine is very strong in the competitive overclocking scene, and the number of enthusiasts in this direction is constantly growing. Our overclockers are ready to experiment with both modern hardware and retro components, squeezing all the juice out of them. And although not everyone has ample opportunities for extreme overclocking, many show outstanding results due to their enthusiasm and perseverance. Therefore, Ukrainian overclockers have a rather high efficiency, as you can see for yourself on the next slide.

Now imagine what will happen if even more enthusiasts join the battle.
Now, the strongest team of overclockers in Ukraine, Overclockers.UA, appeals to all fans of overclocking with an appeal to take part in this competition, because this will help our country to enter the top ten powers on the planet in the arena of world competitive overclocking!
Quite recently, our team has collected 5,000 virtual cups and medals, and in the world ranking the team is climbing quite quickly, because only in 2015 the baggage of points was only 13.5 thousand, while now it reaches 41.5 thousand. And this result has been obtained not only thanks to the main team, demonstrating records under liquid nitrogen, but also thanks to ordinary visitors to our resource, whose contribution is also great.
Last year, the persistence of overclockers was enough for 8th place for Ukraine. Let’s disperse the “piece of iron” as it should this year, and bring the country TOP-5!
So you decide to help the team win. First you need to register on HWBot.org (if you don’t have an account yet). To do this, select Register in the upper left corner, and when filling in the fields, be sure to specify the Overclockers.UA command.

Theory
Any operating system is allowed to use all benchmarks (Windows 10, 8/8.1, 7, Vista, XP), the exception is SuperPi32M (Stage 2), which can only be run under Windows 7/XP, the reason can be found here. Unfortunately, server hardware and engineering samples cannot be used for testing.
Each participant can submit only one test result. Verification requires the latest CPU-Z and GPU-Z programs with the obligatory use of competition wallpapers on the Desktop.
As for the requirements for formatting the results, the screenshot should have the following CPU-Z tabs:
- CPU;
- Mainboard;
- Memory;
- SPD.
If this is a 3D benchmark, then you need to add the GPU-Z utility, and the SPD / Mainboard windows from CPU-Z can be neglected.
Now let’s move on to the tests themselves and the tactics of passing.
HWBOT x265 Benchmark (Preset 1080P)
The test is used for Intel LGA1150 and LGA1151 family processors. Benchmark can be downloaded here.
It is possible that when you run the program, you will get an error:

To fix it, you just need to run the command prompt as an administrator and write bcdedit /set useplatformclock yes, then reboot the system. After that, the benchmark will start without problems.

To get the best result, there is no need to do many different optimizations, just select “Benchmark type – x64” in the benchmark itself, and set Priority – Realtime. As soon as it ends, the result will appear on the screen, in the program window. Open the required CPU-Z windows and take a screenshot by clicking the Save data file button in the HWBOT x265 Benchmark window.

End result sample:

SuperPI 32M
The following test is used for solutions based on the Intel LGA1155 platform. Download link.
SuperPi is a very specific benchmark, and it has an incredible amount of optimization techniques, but for beginners, it’s best to just go through it as is.
We start the program and select test 32M. At the end of it, a window will appear with the inscription “Pi calculation is done”, do not close it, otherwise the benchmark will return to the main menu, and then the result will not be opened again, and you will have to start all over again! Naturally, we take a screenshot after opening all the necessary CPU-Z windows.
End result sample:

3DMark03
Loading here. In this test, there are no restrictions on the processor, you can use anything, the main video card, it must be one of the following GeForce representatives:
- GTS 250;
- 9xxx;
- 8800 GT / GS / GTS 512MB;
- mobile GeForce 9xxx;
- 8400 GS.
The benchmark uses two cores, basically the final result is highly dependent on the maximum clock speed of the processor. To save time, you can remove CPU Tests and Feature Tests, the result can be obtained without them. To open the Result details window, press the Options button in the main program window, and then the Detail button.
End result sample:

3DMark Fire Strike
The test package is here. No restrictions, just use any AMD graphics card (ATI-labeled solutions are not suitable). To this benchmark, be sure to add a link to the Futuremark online verification (just click “Compare results online” after passing the test, and save the link). The final result is affected not only by the frequency of the processor, but also by the number of cores.
End result sample:

GPUPI for CPU 1B
Link to the program. The limitations of this benchmark are quite specific, all types of AMD processors for the FM2/FM2+ and AM3+ platform, as well as the K10 architecture (Phenom II, Athlon II), are allowed, but FM1, AM2+ and older socket solutions are not suitable.
For the correct operation of the program, you must download the AMD APP SDK library, as well as Visual C ++ 2012 and 2013.
If you are using Windows 10/8, you will most likely encounter a startup error again. To solve it, you need to write the same command in the console as an administrator bcdedit /set useplatformclock yes and reboot. Then the benchmark will work correctly.

We select test 1B (both), set the real-time priority to the GPUPi.exe process in the Task Manager and start testing. At the end, the Pi calculation is done window will appear, which can be closed without worrying about the safety of the result, unlike SuperPi.
Select the HWBOT tab, then Save result file, then check the “Skip GPU detection?” and “Skip CPU detection?”, after that we press the Save File button.
Now the benchmark will warn you about the need to open the CPU-Z tabs, do it.
End result sample:

3DMark Vantage (Performance)
Download link. Used for a tandem of an AMD processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 9xx graphics card. This combination is quite rare, but sometimes occurs. To pass this test, you simply need to pass the above test, get a link to online validation and take a screenshot. Easy peasy!
End result sample:

Submission of the result for the competition
Now that the results have already been received, it’s time to tell you how to properly submit them to the competition. To get started, on any HWBOT page, click on the Submit score button located on the right.
At the very bottom of the list there will be competitions (Competitions), select Country Cup 2016.

After that, it is necessary to fill in the fields of the hardware used in testing.
In the Verification field, add the saved screenshot with the result, then also accept the conditions.
Join the world of overclocking, experiment, overclock. Join the Overclockers.UA team, together we will achieve more!
