The year 2019 has finally formed a trend for the electrification of individual transport not only in the places of its production, but also in Ukraine.
Until recently, only found in science fiction and test experiments, like with the EV-1 in the USA, electric cars quietly rolled into everyday life, establishing a new near-green trend.
Outwardly, if we exclude products from Mitsubishi and the latest Tesla innovations in the form of Cybertruck, they turned out to be quite ordinary from the outside.

This is what a small-scale GM EV-1 looked like in 1997. Biodesign was on the march, and these machines did not stand out so much from the general mentality of the then United States. The oldfags remember the picture from later Turbo inserts. Mileage on a charge is about a hundred +/-.
And inside the product was quite ascetic, which vaguely resembled the Tesla Model 3.

Well, at night everything looked like a Christmas tree.

At retail, however, no one sold them. Only rent as part of an experiment, and little was done. But the experiment was unexpectedly successful, and, most likely, that is why they were amicably introduced to the doctrine named after Blaise Pascal. There is a conspiracy theory that the oil lobby got so burned that they did everything to make you see the following picture.
In general, the EV-1 in appearance was not so far from the luxury version of the mass Ford with the consonant patriotic name “Taras”, i.e. Taurus, in the form of Mercury Sable, which then looked like this.

Of course, Japan somewhat spoiled the picture in 2009 with its Mitsubishi i MiEV, somewhat undermining the image of an electric car as a promising replacement for a car with an internal combustion engine with a normal appearance. After all, few people were aware of the peculiarities of intra-Japanese driving, and about kei cars and legislative motivation there to buy smaller carts, they are generally aware of a little more than anyone, with rare regional exceptions. But the Japanese began to try to show electric cars in showrooms, including with the i-MiEV. True, it was also sold as Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-Zero, but, as you might guess, it was sold quite so-so. Mileage on a charge is about the same hundred.

And the Cybertruck of the 2019 spill was not seen only by those who are generally little interested in innovative news and do not smoke them with Musk.

“Dryn” turned out to be brutal, but quite applied, i.e. capable of being used for its intended purpose. The rest of the “electric trains” in the mass look less radical than they do not particularly cause rejection from the buyer at the stage of initial viewing.
The performance of a typical mass-produced electric car sets new benchmarks in the automotive world – it’s no joke: serial cars leave the assembly line for more or less adequate money, which, due to technical specifics, can’t handle the performance, say, acceleration, previously available only to super and hypercars. Or sports bikes. Even the Suzuki Hayabusa, which held the title of the fastest motorcycle since the end of the last millennium, began to look a little less impressive – a typical electric car is technically ready to overtake it, especially if you forget about the charge consumption. But Hayabusa is a liter of three hundred, 2.76 to 100 km / h and more than 300 maximum speed. In general, high now, the owners and the Japanese themselves deal with it.

In the unforgettable comedy series “Police Academy”, the local bully Zed, sitting on a Honda CB650 motorcycle, ridiculed another character’s economical and compact gasoline scooter Honda Spree with the phrase “Where’s his batteries?”.

Zed did this purely out of hooligan motives, with particular audacity and exceptional cynicism, clearly alluding to the uselessness of electric vehicles in everyday operation in general due to uncompetitive technical characteristics, as well as to the difference in size and what is generally called output in the USA, in a specific comparison of two products from Honda in frequency. Actually, the humorous component of the scene is built on the latter – this is a classic example of creating a joke based on comparison.
But the jokes have long ended, the roads are full of electric cars: like mass models of past years from foreign auctions, among which there is a large percentage of those restored after accidents of varying severity and known as salvage – from a cracked bumper with a fallen headlight, to what is called total in the language of insurers ( and even the latter is often not a disaster, but just a reflection of the realities, when there is not much economic motivation to repair and the damaged car is not there due to the cost of labor, but here it is), and completely new models of the first registrations.
Something like this could look like the hit of the Ukrainian electric market – the American Nissan Leaf before arriving in Odessa on a steamer. Copart guarantees. And only in 2019 they were brought to Ukraine under 3000 pieces!
And it could, and quite like this, that for any decent tinsmith it’s not a problem at all – you can even not change the details, but straighten and lay the flaws with putty. Well, if with aluminum shavings, so as not to sag quickly. Here’s the lot – see for yourself. The car is completely intact, and replacing the wing and steering wheel is really a trifling matter.
Both of these cars are the American salvage described above. And if the first one is most likely to be used for spare parts, then the second one with a probability of slightly less than 101% will be sold as “not a bit, not beautiful, scratched during transportation.”
In fairness, there is sold there and such.
And such Tesla S drove into the country under 500 pieces in 2019. Crisis-s.
